Church open during period of mourning
It was with great sadness that we recently learned of the death of HRH The Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh. The Queen and all the Royal Family are held in our prayers at this time. St Peter's Church will be open daily during the period of mourning for private prayer, to light a candle, or to give thanks for the life and service of Prince Philip. Hapstead Hall will also be open daily for those wishing to sign a Book of Condolence.09/04/2021 -

An update from our Rector on services over Christmas
Dear Friends, There has been so much that has had to change this year already, and our celebration of Christmas will be no different. At the time of writing we are in our second lockdown which will hopefully have come to an end by early December, but who knows? And then I should imagine, the restrictions we have known for most of the year will be back, but will they be tougher or will it be possible for them to be safely loosened, at least a little, so as to allow us to celebrate Christmas in some of the ways that are familiar. Again, who knows? What I do know is tha...17/11/2020 -
St Peter's Advent Trail
Welcome to the Advent in Ardingly Trail There are 24 Advent windows hidden in homes, shops and buildings around the village. Each day in December one window will be turned round to reveal part of the story of Christmas. There is a letter in a star on each window which will become visible on its day in Advent. To join our search, either collect a copy of the Code Box from St Peter's Church, or download a copy here. Once you have collected all the letters, fill in the code box to reveal the hidden message. Can’t find today’s window? Clues will be posted daily on Facebook ...15/11/2020 -
Remembrance Sunday Update
As a result of the recent government regulations, plans for a Remembrance Sunday service on the Recreation Ground have had to be revised. There will now be a short Act of Remembrance which will start at 10.45am. This will include a two minute silence and wreath laying. The regulations require us to discourage attendance, but if you do happen to be at the Rec around this time, please would you wear a mask to protect those who are attending as part of the service. To allow everyone the opportunity to participate in their own act of remembrance, St Peter’s Church will be open during the ...04/11/2020 -
